  10.     This menu contains some special 2D
  11. plot types.  These plot types are widely
  12. used by scientists and engineers.  These
  13. are: histogram chart,  step plot, box
  14. plot, hi-lo plot, and smith chart.

  16. █  Histogram plot
  17.  
  18.     Histogram plot is a special type of
  19.   vertical bar chart.  It is useful for
  20.   showing the distribution of values of
  21.   a data set.

  23. █  Step plot
  24.  
  25.     This command sets up a step plot type
  26.   in a Cartesian coordinate system.  A
  27.   step plot is a variation of the 2D
  28.   scatter/line plot type.

  30. █  Box plot
  31.  
  32.     This command sets up a 2D box plot type
  33.   in a Cartesian coordinate system.  A box
  34.   plot is a special plot type that provide
  35.   statistical information about the
  36.   distribution data.  The horizontal lines
  37.   of a box plot mark the minimum point, the
  38.   10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th
  39.   percentile points, and the maximum point
  40.   of the data.

  42. █  Hi-Lo plot

  44.     This command sets up 2D hi-lo plot type
  45.   in a Cartesian coordinate system.  A
  46.   hi-lo plot is another special plot type
  47.   that provide additional statistical
  48.   information about the distribution data.
  49.   The horizontal lines of a hi-lo plot mark
  50.   the mean, standard deviation and standard
  51.   error of the data.  The values are in the
  52.   following increasing order: Mean-2*StdDev,
  53.   Mean-2*StdErr, Mean, Mean+2*StdErr,
  54.   Mean+2*StdDev.

  56. █  Smith chart
  57.  
  58.     A Smith chart is a specially designed
  59.   curve plot that is often used in
  60.   microwave engineering to show impedance
  61.   characteristics.
